Elegant Country Dinner Party

Luminary Dinner for Gunn Library with stunning views of the Connecticut hills

"We loved working with you and we cannot thank you enough for everything. You made it stress free and easy. Talk about being resourceful and calm – you epitomize both!"

- Brigitte Kleine

The Luminary Dinners are an annual & unique fundraising event for The Gunn Memorial Library. After a cocktail reception at the library, simultaneous dinner parties, each in honor of a notable “luminary,” and each hosted by an equally interesting area resident in their homes.

Brigitte & Bob hosted a dinner at their lovely home in Washington. She wanted a Tuscany look and feel.  Guests dined underneath a Sailcloth Tent overlooking a panoramic view of Litchfield Hills. Using farm tables and high back chairs added to the European family style meal. A flaxen linen runner laid down the middle with stone vessels of peonies and foliage. Beautiful, floral patterned plates and Riedel stemware completed the look. Black iron lanterns were nestled on the stone walls & staircase to illuminate walkways & added an extra glow to the summer night. No need to travel to Italy for this dinner event. Wonderful hosts & home to raise money for an amazing organization!
